If you store or refrigerate your food properly, you may be able to extend the freshness of your food. Do note that cooked food shouldn’t be kept at room temperature for longer than 2 hours.

Here are some tips to help you better store your food:

1. Store your food in the fridge if you do not plan to consume it within the next 2 hours.
   • Remember to allow hot foods to cool down to room temperature before storing it in your fridge.
   • If the food was left at room temperature for more than 4 hours, we recommend throwing it away instead.
     
     
2. Take note of the different procedures when handling each type of food.
   • Ready-to-eat foods such as dairy, ready-meals, or packaged/cooked food should be kept in sealed containers.
   • Raw foods such as raw meat, poultry, and fish should be wrapped or sealed with a cling wrap before keeping it at the bottom of your fridge to prevent cross-contamination.
   • Fruits and vegetables should be kept in the fridge upon delivery.
     
     
3. You can reheat your food in a microwave, oven or pan. Food that is reheated must reach a minimum internal temperature of at least 70°C for 15 seconds. We recommend you to consume the food immediately after reheating.
